The province of British Columbia is committed to creating a more sustainable future for plastics, and Plascon Plastics remains dedicated to its role as a manufacturer striving to foster sustainable manufacturing practices that align with its customers' objectives of reducing waste and promoting reuse. The Province is generously contributing over $8 million to various recipients through two funding channels: one aimed at reducing plastic waste through reuse and the other at increasing the utilization of post-consumer recycled plastic in processing and manufacturing.
Remarkably, this marks the second occasion on which Plascon Plastics has successfully secured this invaluable CleanBC Plastics Action funding, reinforcing its commitment to developing products centered around 100% post-consumer recycled content that is entirely recyclable. This endeavor strongly supports the establishment of a circular economy for plastics. The additional funding will significantly enhance our ability to combat plastic pollution and reduce our reliance on virgin resources for plastic production by transforming used plastic into a valuable economic resource rather than an environmental burden.
Plascon Plastics sources its raw materials from local partners capable of consistently supplying the required quantity of material to support large-scale manufacturing, thereby adding value to what would otherwise be considered waste material.
